In the expansion of Helen Britton’s artistic universe, jewelry has always had a fundamental place, but also a non-exclusive one. She is interested in the dissipation of boundaries and hierarchies between genres and languages that had expanded the status of arts towards new possibilities starting in the 1960s, a wave she caught the tail end of in the less turbulent but even more eclectic late-1980s.
